In a factory, a shopping centre or an office building, an oil-filled transformer brings fire load, oil containment and ventilation requirements that the building design has to carry. A cast-resin dry-type unit removes most of that: the windings are sealed in epoxy, there is no oil to contain, and the unit can sit closer to occupied space.
SCB14 is the Class-2 efficiency version of our cast-resin range. If your specification scores losses, ask about SCB18 for Class-1.
| Parameter | Range |
|---|---|
| Series | SCB14, three-phase, cast-resin dry-type |
| Rated capacity | 30 – 2500 kVA |
| Voltage class | 10 kV / 20 kV |
| Energy efficiency | Class-2 (SCB18 available for Class-1) |
| Winding | Copper, epoxy resin vacuum cast |
| Insulation class | F / H |
| Enclosure | IP20 or IP23 |
| Cooling | AN, AF on request |
| Tests | Type test and energy efficiency reports available; routine test on every unit |
Indoor rooms beside production lines, where an oil unit would need containment and fire separation.
Basement or podium substations in offices, retail and hotels.
Step-up and station service duty inside wind and solar plants.
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Difference between SCB14 and SCB18? | Same platform, different loss level. SCB18 is Class-1 efficiency and costs more; SCB14 is Class-2. |
| Can it be installed outdoors? | Only in an enclosure that suits the site. Dry-type units are normally indoor; for outdoor duty we would usually propose a packaged substation. |
| Do you supply the type test report? | Yes, for the series, on request. Every unit also gets a routine test record. |
| What is the MOQ and lead time? | 10 units per order. Lead time quoted per order; it depends on the rating mix. |
| What are the payment terms? | T/T 30% deposit, 70% before shipment; L/C at sight for tender orders. |
